Works offline. Always.

Every fill-up.
Every service.
Every kilometre.

A logbook for people who want the real numbers. Fuel economy measured tank to tank, the true cost of a kilometre once the servicing is in, and a nudge before the paperwork expires.

Free for your first vehicle. One payment unlocks the rest.

How it is built

A tool, not a service.

dashtr runs entirely on your phone. That one decision is what makes it instant, what makes it work in a car park with no signal, and what makes your logbook yours.

Two permissions. That is the list.

dashtr asks for notifications, so a reminder can reach you, and for billing, so you can pay once. Two jobs, two permissions. Short lists come from tight apps.

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — so a reminder can reach you
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — so you can pay once, through Google
2 permissions, total

Opens instantly

Tap the icon at the pump and the odometer field is ready before you are. There is no server to wait on, so there is nothing to wait for.

Works in the basement car park

One bar, no bars, aeroplane mode, a tunnel on the motorway. dashtr has never needed a connection, so it has never lost one.

Leaves whenever you want

Your whole logbook as CSV or JSON, free and unlimited, in two taps. The door out stays unlocked, which is rather the point of trusting something with six years of receipts.

What it does

Numbers you can act on.

Every figure here is measured from what you logged. Where there is not enough to measure, dashtr says so and waits — a number you can rely on is worth more than a number that is always there.

Economy, measured properly

Tank to tank, the way it is actually done. A partial fill rolls into the next one, the average is weighted by distance, and L/100km reads the right way round. Get the figure right and everything built on it is right too.

Ahead of the paperwork

Insurance, road tax and the emissions certificate each carry a real expiry, and dashtr starts reminding you early and gets louder. It is the only thing here with a legal penalty attached, so it sits at the top of the dashboard where you cannot miss it.

What your parts actually last

Log a workshop visit with the jobs it covered and what each came to. After the second set of tyres, dashtr can tell you how long a set lasts on your car — your driving, your roads, not a manual's guess.

Years of history, imported

Coming from Fuelio, Drivvo or aCar? Hand dashtr their export and it reads it. Keep your own spreadsheet? Map the columns once. Whatever you have built up so far arrives intact.

A record that adds resale value

Selling the car? Hand the buyer a clean printable record of every service — dates, odometer readings, costs, and the economy figures to back it up. A documented history is worth money, and this is the easiest money you will make on the sale.

Mileage claims, ready to file

Log a business trip, set your rate per mile or kilometre, and dashtr works out what you are owed. Export the month as a spreadsheet and attach it to the claim.

Price

One payment. Yours for good.

The free app is a complete logbook for one vehicle — every figure, every chart, every export. Pro is for the second car, and it is a single payment you make once.

Questions

Good things to know.

How do I back it up?

Settings, then Back up now. Android asks where to put the file and dashtr writes it there — your Downloads folder, an SD card, or your cloud app's folder if you keep one. Restoring on a new phone is the same in reverse, and dashtr shows you what is in the file before it writes anything.

Can I move my logbook to a new phone?

Yes — a backup file carries everything across, including the records you have deleted recently and the 30 days you have left to change your mind about them.

Does it sync between my devices?

Not automatically. Sync would mean an account and a server, and dashtr is built as a tool you own rather than a service you log in to. Moving a logbook between devices is a backup file away.

Will it pester me with notifications?

Only for reminders you created yourself. There are no marketing notifications and no prompts to upgrade — dashtr will never interrupt you to sell you something. It asks for the notification permission when you set your first reminder, and if you say no, the dashboard keeps warning you instead.

How does paying work?

Through Google Play, the same as any app purchase, and it is a single payment rather than a subscription. dashtr asks the Play app on your phone whether you own the unlock and gets back a yes or no — your card details never come near it. Reinstall or switch phones and your purchase comes with you.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet, and it is genuinely on the way rather than a maybe. Everything that decides a figure — the units, the economy calculation, the money — is already shared code, so the work left is the screens rather than a rewrite.
