Before you write in
Most questions have a quick answer. These are the common ones.
I changed phones. How do I bring my logbook?
On the old phone: Settings → Back up now, and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new one — your Downloads folder, an SD card, or a cloud app's folder. On the new phone: Settings → Restore from a backup and pick that file. dashtr shows you what is in it and what will be replaced before anything is written.
I paid, but Pro is not showing
Make sure you are signed in to Google Play with the account that made the purchase, then open the Pro screen in dashtr and tap Restore purchase. Purchases are tied to a Google account, not to a device.
If a payment is still being processed by your bank, Google reports it as pending and dashtr will say so rather than unlocking early. It completes on its own once Google confirms it.
I am coming from Fuelio, Drivvo or aCar
Export a CSV from the other app, then in dashtr use Settings → Import. dashtr recognises those formats. If yours is not recognised — or it is your own spreadsheet — you can map the columns yourself, and dashtr shows a preview of what it will create before it writes anything.
My reminder did not appear
Check that notifications are allowed for dashtr in Android's settings, and that battery optimisation is not suspending it. dashtr also shows anything due inside the app — on the dashboard and on the Reminders tab — so a missed notification never means a missed renewal.
I deleted something by mistake
There is an undo immediately after, and beyond that: Settings → Recently deleted. Deleted records are kept for 30 days before they go for good.
Why can I only have one vehicle?
The free tier keeps one active vehicle; more is what the one-time Pro unlock is for. Nothing you have already entered is ever locked away — if you had several vehicles and your Pro status changes, the extra ones are archived rather than deleted, and everything in them is still exportable.
Reporting a problem
dashtr has no crash reporting and no analytics, which means we genuinely do not know when something breaks. If you hit a bug, telling us is the only way we find out. What helps:
- What you were doing, and what happened instead.
- Your Android version and phone model.
- The app version, from Settings → About.
Please do not send us your logbook or a backup file unless we ask and you are happy to — it is your data, and we would rather not hold it.
Feature requests
Welcome, with one standing exception: dashtr will not add accounts, cloud sync, ads or a subscription. Those are the things it exists not to have, and the no-internet promise is not a feature we would trade.
